Media Accreditation

Journalists and photographers are invited to submit applications for media accreditation for the 2014 Tour of Beijing.

As a UCI WorldTour calendar race, the Tour of Beijing will feature the top 18 teams in world cycling.

Accreditation applications close on Friday, 29 August.

Accreditation procedure:

Step 1:    Complete the 2014ToB – Accreditation application form.
Please note: All information must be supplied in order to receive a letter of support from the LOC to assist you application for a visa to enter China.

Step 2:    Scan a copy of your passport

Step 3:    Provide a passport-sized photo via email (no larger than 1MB)

Step 4:    Email your completed international journalists form, passport scan and passport-sized photo to the Tour of Beijing media team at by no later than Friday, 29 August.
Please note: Applications received after this date will not receive letters in support of Chinese visa applications.

Step 5:    Once approved by the LOC, a letter of support will be emailed to you.

Step 6:    Once in receipt of a letter of support, apply forthwith for visa at the Embassy (Consulate General/ Consulate / Office) of China in your country with the invitation letter.
Please note: The Visa application is the individual responsibility of each media representative.

Equipment Entry and Customs Clearance

The LOC will not be in charge of or pay for custom clearance for journalists’ equipment entry. All journalists need to ensure they investigate via a custom clearance company the requirements for entry into China of photographic and broadcast equipment.

Accreditation procedure for television broadcast, internet broadcast and radio

Tour Transport

Pending the total number of accreditation requests received, it is expected that the LOC will provide transport for written press and photographers during the Tour.

Should the total number of media attending the event exceed the number of places available on official tour transport the LOC will determine the daily allocation of media transport places and advise accordingly following the close of accreditation.

Media transport will consist of cars and mini vans for written press, a photographer’s mini-van and a limited number of motorbikes for photographers.  In addition a press baggage vehicle will transport necessary equipment.

The LOC will determine the daily allocation of the photographer moto’s. The LOC will also provide pool photos each day.
