The UCI WorldTour brings together the world’s greatest road races. It lets us discover the biggest stage races – notably the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia or the Vuelta a España – as well as the most prestigious one-day classics. A reflection of the development of cycling at an international level, numerous more recent races, in Oceania, America and Asia*, are also part of the UCI WorldTour.
The quality of the sporting show is guaranteed thanks to the participation of the best teams – and therefore the best riders – in all the UCI WorldTour events. The 19 UCI ProTeams, carefully selected according to ethical, financial, administration, but above all sporting criteria, will participate in all the events on this calendar (the organisers retain the right to invite UCI Professional Continental Teams of their choice according to the number of places still available).
Three rankings (individual, teams and nations) are calculated at the end of each UCI WorldTour event and published at 2pm on the Monday following the end of the event.
The 2013 UCI WorldTour began in Australia on January 19th with the Tour Down Under and draws to a close with the Tour of Beijing on October 11th – 15th.
